Teachers of the Campus present a model Vakyartha before the students under the banner Vakyartha Parishad, which is being conducted periodically. Wherein, the teacher presents a particular Shastraic concept followed by discussion session. This paves the way for the students to develop the skill of Vakyartha – the essence of traditional Shastraic learning. It is proposed to bring out the proceedings of the Parishad in book form. Prof. K.E. Madhusudhanan and Dr. Chandrakala R Kondi  are the Coordinators of the Parishad for the current academic year.

The Campus organizes series of Extension Lectures of eminent scholars of Shastras. Topics of the lectures are of inter-disciplinary nature so that various standings on Shastraic concepts are discussed and introduced. This felicitates better comprehension of Shastra Prameya. Six lectures are organized each year on Vyakarana, Sahitya, Mimamsa, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta, Phalita Jyotisha and Shiksha-Shastra. The lectures delivered by the scholars are brought in a book form for the benefit of the students and the faculty. Prof. Subray V. Bhatta  and Dr. Ganesh T Pandit are the Coordinators of the Extension Lecture Series this year.

Vagvardhini Parishad is a platform for the Campus students for the all round development of academic and various other co-curricular activities. The forum is run by the students’ representatives under the guidance of the faculty members. The Parishad is organized every Thursday wherein students get opportunity to express and exhibit their talent in the field of Shastra, culture etc. This year Dr. Raghavendra Bhat and Dr. Venkataramana S. Bhat are the Guides of the Parishad.

The Campus has been established in 1992 with the Divine directions of His Holines Sri Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal of Sringeri Sri Sharadapeetha with the efforts and directions of the then Prime Minister of India Sri Rajiv GandhiJi. Later, the Campus was named after him. With the view to celebrate his memory in the most useful academic way, the Campus has proposed an Extension Lecture in his memory. The proposal was considered and the present Vice Chancellor Prof.Radhavallabh Tripathi has accorded permission for the same. The lecture will be organized once in every two years and the series is named as Sri Rajiv Gandhi International Memorial Lecture. This year the lecture series will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.

The prime aim of establishing Sansthan was to preserve and propagate ancient Indian Shastras. Keeping this objective in view, the Vice Cahncellor has approved a proposal of organizing a traditional Shastrartha Sabha which is the source of preservation of Shastra tradition and wisdom. This will be organized once in two years in the Campus under the banner of Sri Sri Sri Bharati Theertha Mahaswami Shastrartha Sabha. The modalities for the same are being worked out and scholars from various parts of the country will be invited for the Sabha.

The campus has two publications to its credit. They are 1. Vivechani- A commentory on Nyaya Treatise Satpratipaksha Shatakoti authored by Dr. Naveen Holla. Pages 141,Rs.150/- 2. Padachaturvidhyavicharah : A original work on Vyakarana authored by Dr. C.S.S Narasimha Murthya, Pages 132,Rs150/-

At present, the campus is concentrating on Shastra teaching, Pre-service training for Sanskrit graduates recognized by the NCTE, research Activities and preservation of rare manuscripts. The Campus proposes to embark on various Shastra-oriented higher knowledge-based activities.

The teachers employed in the campus are renowned and well established in their field of specialization and their Shastraic scholarship has suitably been honoured by various Muths – the traditional sources of Shastraic learning. Many of the faculty members have undergone the rigorous Shastraic testing under the galaxy of scholars. The teachers have also won Young Scholar Award from various institutions. The scholars employed in this campus, even at their young age, are assigned the responsibility of evaluation of Shastraic knowledge in various institutions that itself speaks the scholarship of the faculty.

The students of this campus are well disciplined and always engage themselves in traditional Shastraic learning. Many of the students won prizes at State and National level competitions and Shalaka Parikshas and also National Vijaya Vaijayanti, RS University of Tirupathi Vijaya Vaijayanti and Youth Festival Vijaya Vaijayanti awards. Till date Twentynine of our students won Gold Medals of the Sansthan in the examinations. The students of the campus are getting ranks in various entrance examinations. The campus is known for its traditional learning method and teachers training among similar institutions in India.

The campus has embarked on the mammoth task of procuring and preserving of rare Sanskrit manuscripts and till date it has collected more than 164 rare manuscripts related to various Shastraic disciplines.

In addition to its regular teaching and training, the campus is also conducting extension activities under the able guidance of Sansthan. The campus is made in charge of Karnataka for popularizing and providing Non-Formal Sanskrit Education. There are more than 35 such centers in the state of Karnataka. Further, the campus organizes Ten-Day Spoken Sanskrit Camps and Sanskrit Shikshaka Prashikshana Camps every year regularly. It also organizes various activities aimed at propagating Sanskrit language, literature, culture etc. during Sanskrit Week Celebrations, which are well received and highly appreciated by the society. Prof.A.P.Sachidnanda is the State Coordinator of NFSE and Dr.Bhagban Samantaray is the Coordinator of the Campus centre of the NFSE.

The Campus has a Computer Centre with all necessary facilities required for computer education. All the students at Prak-Shastri and Shastri levels are given computer training. They are taught programming and applications.

The Campus has a well furnished Language Learning Lab consisting 11 computers and necessary facilities required for Learning Various Languages. All the students of Shiksha Shastra are given training.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is the nodal agency for the Bhasha Mandakini – the Sanskrit Educational TV under MHRD, Govt. of India, under which various Sanskrit lessons on different Shastras and Sanskrit language teaching are being telecast in regular slots in Gyana Darshan. The Campus has provided with Dish Antenna for receiving Bhasha Mandakini along with a giant TV for viewing the programmes.

The Department of Shiksha Shastra is equipped with well furnished Psychology Laboratory. There are equipments for conducting 14 practical on various theories of psychological foundations. Traditional Sanskrit Pupil Teachers are trained in modern methods of psychology and they are encouraged and motivated to take up comparative studies based on the experiences in the laboratory for innovations in teaching, philosophical, and psychological foundations.

The Shiksha Shastra department is also equipped with Educational Technology Laboratory wherein primary equipments for educational innovative practices are available. The lab trains the pupil teachers in using modern technology for teaching Sanskrit via OHP, LCDP, Computer PPT presentations, Slide Projectors etc. The lab also possesses TV with Dish Antenna, Tape Recorder etc.

The Campus has a Heritage and Cultural Kit comprising a good number of slides and literature that expose Indian historical and cultural heritage. Videos, Audios, Slide Projector, Slides and a Tape Recorder are available in the centre. The Centre organizes regular shows and lectures at various educational organizations and in the Campus every year. Last seven cultural heritage shows have organized in various school in and around Sringeri Dr.Ramachandrula Balaji of Shiksha-Shastra Department is the in charge of the Centre who has undergone special training for the purpose.

The Campus has facilities for the differently-abled students. Academic Building, Hostels, Library have special facilities such s slopes, wheel chair, wooden corridors, commode toilets. In addition to these various electronic instruments such as OHP/LCD assisted teaching for low vision students and special remedial teaching by the expert faculty members.

The Campus has undertaken a project of electronic text preparation of various Shastras under the guidance of the Vice Cahncellor. The project aims at creating e texts in Advaita Vedanta, Vyakarana, and Sahitya. Shankara Granthavali – the whole works of Sri Adishankaracharya will be transformed as e-text. Ashtadhyayai with Kashika, Padamanjari and Nyaysa, Paniniya Shiksha and Paniniya Linganushasanam will be transformed as e-text in Vaykarana and Rasagangadhara with all available commentaries will be taken for Sahitya. The projects have been taken and considerable work has already been completed in the subjects concerned. In addition to the traditional e-text generation, a project on Shiksha Shastra (Education) is also underway. Descriptive Dictionary of Educational Psychology will be prepared by the faculty members of Shiksha Shastri of the Campus and the same will be made available on the web. The dictionary will cover all the important terminologies of Educational Psychology with brief explanation in Sanskrit for the benefit of the Sanskrit Educationists and students.

The campus being the traditional seat of higher Sanskrit learning, not a single incident or ragging is reported or took place since its establishment in 1992. However, as per the directions of the Union Government/Supreme Court/ UGC, a special cell to monitor such incidents is constituted with the following staff and the cell will also counsel the students in regular intervals.

An Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is constituted in the Campus to monitor the quality of academic and administrative issues. The cell would ensure transparency at all levels of administration and academic activities besides reviewing the quality from time to time and bring in necessary changes in the concerned field for maintaining the quality. For the current academic year the following faculties have been made the members of the IQAC under the chairmanship of the Campus Principal.
