(i) Shastri or B.A. (with Sanskrit has one of the main subjects) in 10+2+3 scheme or Acharya, M.A. (Sanskrit) or equivalent traditional Degree from any University or recognized examining body, having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR (ii) The Students who have passed Shastri/B.A. (With Sanskrit) two year Course from any University or recognized examining body should have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate and should have passed Acharya-I year/M.A. (Sanskrit)-I year/Setu examination. For eligibility of 50% marks of two year course will not be added with Acharya-I year/M.A. (Sanskrit)-I year/Setu Examination. (iii) Eligibility conditions for candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be 45% marks in the qualifying examinations as mentioned in Para-i & ii above. However other conditions will remain the same.
B. Mode of Selection-
(i) Admission to Shiksha Shastri will be made through All India Combined Shikshashastri Entrance Test known as CSSET. In this Test Candidates will be selected for Rashtriya sanskrit samsthan (D.U) New Delhi, Sri Lal bahadoor shastri Rashtriya sanskrit vidyapeeth (D.U) New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit vidyapeeth (D.U) Tirupati. The details of the CSSET will be notified every year in Combined system by any one Demeed University through rotation. It will be notified in leading dailies, Employment News and all three University websites. All the candidates who have passed Shastri/Acharya or equivalent examination are eligible to appear in the test. Admission will be made based on the All India Merit, and the candidates will be allotted to various Campuses of Rashtriya sanskrit samsthan (D.U) New Delhi, Sri Lal bahadoor shastri Rashtriya sanskrit vidyapeeth (D.U) New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit vidyapeeth (D.U) Tirupati.
(ii) The candidate shall be required to pursue a regular course of study as prescribed by Sansthan for not less than two academic year in any of the Campuses or universities. Regular Course of study shall mean regular attendance in the classes during the each academic year and shall further mean teaching of at least 40 practice lessons 20 each in Sanskrit and other language or subject offered by the concerned Campus in recognized Schools out of which 50% of practice lessons should have been supervised. During teaching practice the students have to follow the schedule of the practice School and instruction of the supervision teacher.
C. Code of Conduct
(i) If a student teacher found absent continuously for 10 or more days his/her name will be struck off from the Admission roll and he/she will not be permitted to appear in the Examination. However, in all 20 days (only) of leave is admissible for all purposes on humanitarian grounds at the discretion of the competent authority on production of relevant Certificate and the student teachers who availed leave more than the admissible days will not be permitted to appear in the Examination and such student teacher has to undergo the course afresh through PSST.
(ii) Strict discipline is to be adhered by the student teacher in the entire Academic Session.
(iii) Attendance in each class is compulsory and will be counted for the purpose of eligibility for both Scholarship and examination.
(iv) All the student teachers are liable to follow the rules and regulations of the Campus as prescribed from time to time.
(v) No student teacher should indulge in any kind of anti institutional, anti social, anti academic activities etc., as an individual or as a group on any Administrative/ Academic/ Technical matters.
(vi) Participation in all sessional activities such as Basic Scout Masters Training, First Aid etc., during the course is compulsory. No exemption of any kind will be considered in this regard. Absence in these activities will result in removal of name from the Admission Roll.
(vii) Student teachers found guilty of any act of indiscipline and those who resort to agitations are liable for serious disciplinary proceedings.
(viii) Student teachers are expected to uphold the prestige of the Campus and therefore they are strictly prohibited from participating in any activity that would nullify the reputation of the Campus.
(i) At present the total number of seats available for admission is 50.
(ii) Out of the total number of seats further reservation as per rules of the Govt. of India/Sansthan in each stream will be made as indicated below:-
* For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste - 15%
* For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe - 7.5%
* For physically handicapped including blind - 3%
* For children/widows of armed forces personal disabled/killed during the war/Hostilities-3%
* For sports persons (for participating National/International competitions ) 2%
* For other Backward classes 27%
(iii) Candidates who belong to any of the above reserved category, should furnish a certificate of their category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer failing which the application form will be rejected.
(iv) In case of non-availability of such candidates, the seats will be filled from the general category.
(v) Allotment of reservation of seats will be done at the central level only.
